About Telluride Copper CuTe Powder:
Telluride copper – also known as alloys 145, Copper tellurium, C15400,145 semi shared tellurium and TECU- are copper-based alloys containing varying amounts of tellurium and phosphorus. Tellurium content usually ranges from 0.4 to 0.7 percent, while phosphorus content ranges from 0.004 to 0.12 percent.
Copper tellurium refers to an alloy of tellurium and copper. Copper tellurium containing 0.4-0.7% tellurium has good machinability. Telluride copper containing 50% tellurium and 50% copper is used as the master alloy.
Tellurium copper some mechanical, chemical, electrical and manufacturing performance include atmospheric corrosion resistance, high temperature and conductivity hydrogen embrittlement (i.e., caused by the introduction and diffusion hydrogen fracturing and weaken), 65-130 HV hardness, good formability (used for the cold and hot forming process), 85-90% of the machinability rating (if free cutting brass for 100), suitable for welding and brazing, not suitable for a particular welding process, such as coating metal arc welding, oxygen-acetylene welding, resistance welding, seam welding and spot welding.
Copper tellurium alloy has good machinability, excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance and electric ablation resistance, and good cold and hot working performance. It is the copper alloy material with the best cutting performance among high copper alloys. It can be forged, cast, extruded and drawn, blanked and molded. Tellurium copper alloy can be processed into the plate, sheet, rod, wire, tube and other profiles and a variety of profiles. These properties make it suitable for a variety of industrial applications. Feel free to send an inquiry to get the latest price if you would like to buy Telluride Copper CuTe Powder in bulk.
Performance of Telluride copper CuTe powder:
Copper telluride is a chemical substance with the molecular formula CuTe. Copper telluride is a black powder, which is relatively stable in air at room temperature. Copper telluride is not only an important inorganic material but also an excellent form of storing tellurium and copper resources. In the H2SO4 solution, replacing Te with Cu generates copper telluride, which separates tellurium from many metal ions and obtains a relatively high concentration. When Cu replaces Te, Te can be + 4 valences or + 6 valences, all of which can generate Cu 2 Te, that is, it is not affected by the valence state of tellurium. In the presence of an oxidizing agent, copper telluride can chemically react with acids or bases, which is also the basis for separating and recovering Cu and Te. In short, tellurium and copper combine with each other at a higher temperature to recover tellurium from the solution.
Specification of Telluride copper CuTe powder :

How is Telluride Copper CuTe Powder produced?
A preparation method for a copper tellurium alloy comprises the following steps:
1. After mixing high purity copper and high purity tellurium according to the ratio requirements, or after alternating layers of high purity copper and high purity tellurium, they are placed in a graphite crucible, and then the graphite crucible is sealed after replacing the air in the graphite crucible with protective gas;
2. Put the graphite crucible into a synthetic furnace, and the air in the furnace chamber of the synthetic furnace is passed into the protective gas after the furnace is closed.
3. Fill the furnace with protective gas until the pressure is 1.0~4.5MPa. At the same time, the temperature in the furnace rises from normal temperature within 60~90min to 1200~1450℃, and the temperature drops with the furnace after holding for 2~4h.
4. After the temperature in the synthesis furnace is lowered to less than 100℃, the protective gas in the synthesis furnace is drained to reduce the pressure in the synthesis furnace to normal pressure, and the furnace is opened to get copper tellurium alloy ingot.
Application of Telluride Copper CuTe Powder:
Tellurium copper alloy is mainly used for: high conductivity, high corrosion resistance of precision electronic and electrical components, advanced mechanical and electrical parts, forgings and thread cutting parts, plumbing fittings, electrical contact parts, plasma and laser cutting parts, automotive starter and switch parts, etc.
Tellurium copper alloy can be processed into the plate, sheet, rod, wire, tube and other profiles and a variety of profiles.
With the vigorous promotion of new energy vehicles and the construction of charging piles in recent years, new indicators have been developed for the contact materials of charging piles, such as arc resistance, service life and safety performance. Copper tellurium has been successfully applied in the field of high-current connectors for new energy vehicles due to its excellent electrical properties and easy processing characteristics.
